Educational activities
!! The educational activities are currently available in French only !!!
The educational activities offered to children in primary grades 3 to 6 are part of an approach to raise young people’s awareness of science, supported and funded by Innoviris. They are based on the school curriculum and aim to stimulate children’s interest in medical sciences. The events are completely free of charge.
For type-8 classes, the activity supervisor recommends the ‘En chair et en os’ activity, which she adapts to the level and specific needs of the children.
3 Systems, One Life! (Available in French only)
How does our body stay alive every day?
Through the school activity Three Systems, One Life, the Museum of Medicine invites 5th and 6th grade primary school pupils to discover the essential functioning of the human body in a fun and interactive way.
Over approximately 1.5 hours, children explore three systems that are vital to our survival: the respiratory system, the circulatory system, and the digestive system. They learn to understand their roles, and above all how these systems work together to provide oxygen, energy, and nutrients to the entire body.
Through games, hands-on activities, and age-appropriate exercises, pupils become active participants in their learning and connect science with everyday life.
The activity concludes with a simple and reassuring scenario introducing the importance of checking consciousness, as well as an introduction to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), raising awareness of actions that can save a life.
A clear, lively, and accessible approach to better understand the human body… and to take care of life.

At the Heart of the Body (Available in French only)
An immersive activity to discover how the human body works!
Dive into the heart of the body with your class through an interactive and playful activity, specially designed for 3rd and 4th grade primary school pupils.
Guided by our educator, children explore the main functions of the human body: breathing, digestion, circulation…
What are our organs for? Where do our movements come from?
Through observations, simple experiments, hands-on activities, and mini-challenges, pupils gain a better understanding of what happens inside their bodies while developing their scientific curiosity.
This activity encourages participation, questioning, and a sense of wonder, making human and medical sciences accessible, concrete… and exciting!
It fully aligns with the school curriculum: discovering organs and a general introduction to the locomotor system, through the identification of a few bones, muscles, and joints.
Duration: approximately 2 hours
