A journey in History
In existence for more than 30 years, , the Museum of Medicine brings together an original heritage consisting mainly of art and archaeological objects rather than ancient instruments and apparatus. A visit to its 7 exhibition rooms provides a direct illustration of medical practices and helps visitors understand how magical-religious medicine became rational in the Greco-Roman period, then scientific when Renaissance doctors and artists took an interest in anatomy and when it became experimental in the 19th century.
